For the PhD in Rhetoric and Writing
To be admitted to the program on regular status, an applicant must:
- have a master’s degree or the equivalent, and
- have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in graduate-level courses.
Applicants who do not meet the criteria stated above may be admitted provisionally. Conditions for regular admission, including the completion of collateral coursework, must be satisfied during the first year of study.
For full consideration for university and college level fellowships and graduate assistantships all PhD application materials for beginning the program in Fall 2023must be in the Slate system by 11:59pm eastern on Monday, December 1, 2022.
The graduate programs in Rhetoric and Writing do not require or use GRE scores for admission purpose
