WRAC is once again presenting the Faculty Symposium: Lightning Strikes event. The event will be held on Tuesday, March 23 from 1–3 p.m. via Zoom. Up to twelve faculty will share their planned or current scholarly research in 5-minute “Lightning Strikes” presentations.
For the Spring 2021 event, one undergraduate and one graduate student will be invited to participate as Documentarians and provide a reflective summary post-faculty expositions. The Lighting Strikes committee asks faculty to consider current students for one of the new Documentarian roles.
This WRAC community event has been held every semester since Spring 2019 and provides an opportunity for department faculty to gain peer feedback and professional recognition for their research. Past Lightning Strikes events have included diverse scholarly presentations in areas from rethinking pedagogical practices to Chinese feminism, from teacher transformation to healing from trauma.
Faculty who are interested in presenting or have a student in mind for the Documentarian role are encouraged to contact one of the Committee members to sign up, provide the student’s name and contact information, or request additional information.
