Profile
Kimberly is a third-year PhD student at MSU in the Writing, Rhetoric, and Cultures department. She’s pursuing a concentration in Black Linguistic Justice and a specialization in Women and Gender Studies. Kimberly earned her Master’s in Writing, Rhetoric, and Media from Clemson University and graduated from the University of Kentucky with her Bachelor’s in English. She’s certified in Effective Online Teaching and has a fluency certificate in American Sign Language. Her research interests are primarily in social justice, writing pedagogy, and writing centers. She’s presented her work in writing centers at MiWCA and NCPTW, and is published in Kairos, Writing Spaces Activities & Assignments Archive, and Proceedings of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Annual Meeting. Currently, Kimberly is one of the Graduate Assistant Directors of the Writing Center @ MSU.
