Faculty Spotlight: Ben Lauren

Headshot of a man with short hair over a blue and yellow background. The Text says "Faculty Spotlight Ben Lauren"

Our faculty spotlight this week is Ben Lauren! One of our WRAC peers shared the following thoughts about Ben’s work:

As the assistant director of the graduate programs, Ben does an excellent job of welcoming new cohorts and supporting the educational goals of graduate students across WRAC. As an advisor, Ben never doubts the aspirations of his students, and he sends them in the right direction to accomplish their goals with new resources and expect navigation. Besides helping students with their academic needs, he also is the department’s go-to person for help with basic needs and career guidance. His investment in the program is greatly appreciated.

Ben is also working with Stuart Blythe, Kim Steed-Page, Shannon Kelly, Reggie Noto, and Bill Heinrich on creating a trauma-informed web portal for essential needs services offered by MSU. Their goal is to help MSU students more easily locate resources and make decisions that work for them. Thanks for all that you do, Ben!
