Dear College of Arts & Letters Students, Staff, and Faculty,
As we navigate this challenging period of remote learning, it is important to find ways to remain connected. One of the most enduring ways we are connected as a society is through the vital practice of voting that sustains our democracy. For generations, Americans have fought, struggled, and died to establish and preserve our right to vote. Their sacrifices make voting our sacred responsibility.
Today, September 22, is National Voter Registration Day. The information below has been gathered to facilitate your participation in this year’s election, and I encourage you to take the necessary steps now to ensure that your voice shapes the future of our democracy.
CAMPUS AND COMMUNITY INFORMATION – MSUvote
To help inform our community this election season, Michigan State University has created MSUvote, a non-partisan campus committee whose mission it is to increase the number of registered student voters, to inform and educate students on candidates and issues, and to bolster student participation on Election Day.
IF YOU ARE A REGISTERED VOTER IN MICHIGAN
You should have received a Michigan 2020 Absentee Voting Application in the mail. Otherwise, you can apply online for a November absentee ballot (on or after 8/20/2020) at: https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/avapplication
IF YOU ARE A VOTER REGISTERED OUTSIDE MICHIGAN

IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED TO VOTE
You can do so online at: https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/RegisterVoter (requires a valid Michigan driver’s license or state ID AND knowledge of your Social Security Number)
