Profile

Kimberly Ann Priest is the author of Slaughter the One Bird (Sundress 2021), Still Life (PANK, 2020), Parrot Flower (Glass, 2020) and White Goat Black Sheep (FLP, 2018). Winner of a 2019 Heartland Poetry Prize from New American Press, her work has appeared in several journals including Split Rock Review, Salamandar, The Meadow, Texas Poetry Review, and Berkeley Poetry Review. A graduate of the MFA program at New England College, she is currently an Assistant Professor of First Year Writing at Michigan State University and serves as a poetry editor for the Nimrod International Journal of Prose and Poetry and Embody reader for The Maine Review.
