rhetorical theory, composition theory, political thought, education policy, pedagogy, activist rhetorics
I'm interested in exploring the relationship between dominant political ideologies and movements within the field of composition and rhetoric. More specifically, I hope to develop an understanding of how this relationship influences policies and pedagogical choices made in college composition. I'm a teacher at heart, and seek to pursue a career in first-year writing at a 2- or 4-year institution upon completion of my graduate studies.
